"PONT-AVEN" cruising the Bay of Biscay

The Bay of Biscay is one of the most difficult seas for ships to confront during bad weather, not on this occasion when the regular "PONT-AVEN" was once again travelling the Bay, despite being February it was a relatively warm afternoon and evening with temperatures approaching the double figures, more like spring really, so enjoyable to travel by sea in these conditions, photos 18.2.2013

"PONT-AVEN" departing Portsmouth in February on a beautiful sunny day

Seen here departing Portsmouth on a lovely sunny day is the BF Flagship "PONT-AVEN", the ship was just underway for another trip to Santander, comfortable crossing was expected on the voyage with the Captain making the announcement of the E.T.A. and weather conditions along the trip which is not common with BF, normally the captains don't talk to the passengers, that's a job for the receptionist, well done for the changing.
